All software developed in-house by the City of Munich is published from the outset under an open-source license.

The free software ecosystem offers countless solutions and applications for modern software development. The reference architecture for in-house developments enables us to achieve optimum maintainability and scalability. Here, too, we rely on a modular technology stack of open source components, which allows us to easily replace and update components.
